This product should not be soaked with water as it can ruin the silver polish. It may be wiped with a moist cloth and dried instantly if the need be. No chemicals can be used. Due to moist weather if some tarnishing effect is observed, "Colgate tooth powder" may be applied on the effected area to get the original shine. After repeated application of Colgate, the silver shine may not come. In that case it may be given to the shop for getting it repolished at a very nominal rate.
